Paul Francis, drummer

Paul Francis is a professional jazz drummer and educator living in Brooklyn and working in the greater NYC area. A wide selection of great photographs by Bryan Murray provided as easy inspiration for this design, as well as Paul's cheerful personality. This site is an excellent example of all that is possible for a musician's website.

Steve Kortyka, saxophonist

I built this site for my friend and fellow jazz saxophonist Steve Kortyka. I wanted Steve's site to have a slick, edgy NYC feel to it. We achieved this with a dynamic background, fun fonts, and a variety of images taken around New York City by your truly.

Alex Smith, pianist

Alex Smith works as a jazz pianist, organist, composer, arranger and music educator throughout the greater NYC area. He wanted a classic and professional look for his website, which I feel we accomplished with a simple, classy color scheme as well as a collection of black and white photographs.

Due North Leadership

Suzanne M. Mielnik of Due North Leadership wanted a site with "pop", and one that would complement her logo based on a tree image and shades of green and blue. So that is just what we did. Suzanne helps organizations, groups and individuals to reach their fullest potential by finding the born leader inside.

Cristina Moldow, Acupuncture

When Cristina opened up a new space in Manhattan for her acupuncture work, she decided it was time for a website to complement her business. Cristina wanted a bright and welcoming website with nature related elements. We accomplished this with earth-reminiscent shades of green and blue, a papery background and a cheerful sunflower header. Through acupuncture, Cristina is able to help her clients overcome a wide variety of health issues.

Janelle Reichman, musician

This is the site I built for my own career as a jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and educator. I based the entire design on the photograph I wanted to use as the header, so everything, including the layout and the color scheme, came from that photograph. This site is a great example of what is available to musicians for their website- it's complete with a photo gallery, listening page, video page, mailing list form, and my CD is downloadable for purchase directly from the site.

Lee Wilschek, Virtual Assistant

Although I suppose a Virtual Assistant is an "artist" in her own way, I decided to include this site because Lee is a relative of mine and I was very proud of the way her site turned out. Lee came to me seeking a redesign of her then current site which (former design shown in corner). The design for her new site combines a sense of professionalism with a sense of fun, which is just what her business embodies.

Glenda Haskell, Life Coach

The dictionary's definition of a life coach is: "a person whose job is to improve the quality of his or her client's life, by offering advice on professional and personal matters, such as career, health, personal relationships, etc." I worked with a life coach for four months while I was getting my web design business off the ground. My coach helped me to figure out my next move and to set goals to make it happen. I highly recommend it!

The Salon Concert Society of New York

When cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf came to me about a website for their new business venture, the Salon Concert Society of New York, I knew we had to make the website clean, elegant and high-class above all else. We accomplished this with a calligraphy font, a Victorian style background, a navigation bar that mimics a ribbon, and a minimalist layout with clean edges all around.

The Vegan Metropolis

I built this website in my spare time this year - it is designed for vegans living in the NYC area. Content includes a blog with various posts on vegan tips, recipes, health, etc - as well as pages on local restaurants, where to shop vegan, and books on vegan topics. Share this site with the vegan in your life!
